PEPPER GRAVY SAUCE

Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter (preferably ANCHOR or QUEENSLAND) 1/4 cup All Purpose flour 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 small Onion  1L cream or milk Peppercorns Salt and Pepper to taste PROCEDURE: Melt butter in a pan, add the onion and garlic (but d o not burn !) Add stock (or water), about half a cup Add flour and mix thoroughly Add cream / milk, continue mixing until thick Adjust according to your taste Add your prefer amount of Peppercorns Enjoy

JUJU EATS? I will share my thoughts about it.. Basically, it's for people who are watchful with what they eat. Those who love salad and juicing, this is the place to be! We tried it out of curiosity, nagpanggap  kami for a moment. Hahaha! Although, It took a while for us to finally choose what to eat, they have wide selections ( which is a good thing) but it's a bit confusing, too. I also tried their Qcumber quench - consists of cucumber, pineapple and mint. It was alright, but I  still prefer a plain cucumber juice over this. Haha. In short, yung gawa ko.  My DIY wrap: Wheat tortilla, basil, cilantro, grilled chicken, feta cheese, cucumber and caesar dressing Price starts at  Php 135  for half order or wrap. For a not-so hungry customer, half order is already enough. The DIY wrap that I ordered was too much for me to finish, so the husband and I shared . AVÉNE & AVEENO: THE ANSWER TO HYPERSENSITIVE SKIN

For almost a month, I have been suffering from hypersensitivity reaction, I thought it all started when I used a liquid soap, FOR A BABY. The rashes start to appear on my right arm, then on the left, then on my tummy and the next morning, all over the body. They were so itchy and red that I couldn't function well because I was tempted to scratch my skin. So my sister drove me to the ER to get proper medication. While in TMC, they gave me anti-histamine shot- I am not scared of needles but this one was really ouchy,  I was also asked to take oral antihistamines, so I did. Few days after, to my disappointment, none worked to ease my discomfort. I instantly called my doctor-bestfriend, Carlo and asked for steroids that I can take with Celestamine; He gave me Prednisone.  On my way to buy the meds he prescribed, I stumbled upon this life-saver skin products that are perfect for hypersensitive skin. TOMATO SAUCE : A simple recipe

Among the Five mother sauces, Tomato sauce is my favorite. Classic, Creole, Provencale, etc... It seems perfect for everything- pasta, rice, pizza, chicken or fish. So I thought of sharing this simple tomato sauce recipe that I usually cook when my craving kicks in- best served with toasted garlic bread on the side. Ingredients: 150g              Uncooked pasta, I use Penne / Fusilli (cooked in boiling water for 10 mins) 400g              Ripe tomatoes (diced & seeds removed)                       Fresh basil, lots of it. (You may also use dry basil) 4 cloves        Garlic, minced  1 medium      white onion, chopped 1 tbsp.           Balsamic vinegar 1 cup             stock Procedures: 1. Cook your pasta. 2. Saute Onions and garlic in 2 Tbsp. of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Do not burn the garlic! 3. Add 1/3 of the basil. Simmer for a minute. 4. Add the Balsamic vinegar and simmer again for few minutes. 5. Add your tomatoes, mix well. Add 3/4 cup of water and stir. 6.

Some highlights during my son's 7th birthday. Would have never been possible without my "party team". Thanks, guys! 7 people were needed to carry this HUMONGOUS cake up to the 2nd floor. The carousel on top is rotating, all the toppers were actually sugar cookies and the cake itself was really good! DIY Popcorn and Circus tent party hats =) This is Symond Francisco, he was also the Party host during James' 1st birthday. So glad to get his contact details from one of my  mommy friends. Our guests were very happy, they didn't get bored, all positive feedbacks. He is the best! Highly recommended! Big boys having fun at a Kiddie party? Why not? =) Symond is obviously ecstatic as well haha Adults want some prizes too! Kids were all ears during the program. Good job kids, Good job Symond! Priceless! Everyone participated in the games, nobody was being "KJ" that time.  Thank  God! Game prizes!

CRACKLING PORK

Ingredients: 2 kgs Pork Liempo or Cheek, whole 1 Tbsp Whole Black peppercorns 1 Bay leaf 1/2 cup Patis 1/4 Soy sauce 3L water Procedure #1: 1. Put all ingredients in a large pot and water (enough to cover the Pork). 2. Boil for 2-3 hours until tender. Transfer to a colander or strainer and allow to dry. This will take around 1-2 hours. You may use an electric fan to hasten drying (and it saves time, too). 3. Using a turbo broiler, "bake"each side of the meat for 20-30 mins. Until it looked crispy.  4. Remove from the Broiler and allow to cool, before freezing, rub the meat with generous amount of salt. Put in a ziplock container & freeze until ready to cook. Procedure #2: Frying 1. Before frying, make sure the cooking oil is at proper temperature and maintained to ensure crispiness of the pork. We don't want our pork to absorb oil and become soggy afterwards, do we? ;p 2.
